Cafes, Coffee Shops and Takeaways in Settle

When you book a touring holiday at Langcliffe Park you’re certainly not tied to the kitchen sink!! Nearby historic Settle has a wonderful choice of eateries to choose from and many are dog friendly so you can take your favourite furry friend. A picturesque short walk either back on the road, may be include the river or towards Langcliffe then along a quiet lane will all take you back into the town.

All the cafes offer a warm welcome and a very recent addition, Nettle, is dog friendly, offers bistro style vegan food and drink and stays open most evenings. Ye Olde Naked Man Cafe and Bakery is a Grade II listed building dating back to 1663 sitting proudly in the centre of Settle. The cafe serves homemade food and the bakery has tasty snacks and coffee to enjoy whilst sitting outside and watching the world go by on the busy Market Square.

The cafe in Car and Kitchen is located on the first floor and offers some very tasty options plus freshly made coffee, at the front of the shop is a pretty seating area to soak up the hustle and bustle unique to Settle. Further on from the market square going out towards the Rugby Club is High Steet Coffee, with a more contemporary feel it’s a great option and you can choose from the speciality coffees, sit inside or outside on the bistro seating area which catches the morning sun.

Next is The Folly which is home to the Museum of North Craven Life plus a licensed Coffee House with a real local and friendly feel. On a nice day the al fresco dining is in a carefully restored outside area at the rear.

As the evening approaches you can make a bee line to The Fisherman with a great reputation as a takeaway or sit inside to enjoy freshly fried fish and chips and an alcoholic drink or pot of tea. A couple of doors along is the very popular Golden Dragon takeaway serving a wonderful selection of freshly made Chinese food. Just around the corner above the Co-op is Darlings of Settle, a highly recommended Thai Takeaway and Restaurant with lovely views over the market square. If that isn’t enough and you prefer something a bit spicier there are 2 Indian restaurants offering dine in or takeaway menus.

Settle isn’t a big place but offers so much in every way and if you’re here on a Tuesday you can visit the weekly market in the square which adds to this lively market town’s special atmosphere. Give us a call or book your pitch online today.
